About this bike

The Giant Talon 29 3 is a capable, versatile hardtail for riders getting started on trails and exploring rough roads. Its redesigned ALUXX-grade aluminium frame is lighter and more durable, with clearance for tyres up to 2.4" and geometry tuned for trail riding. An SR Suntour XCE suspension fork with 100mm of travel smooths out bumps and broken surfaces. Shimano Altus 2x8 gearing, with a 36/22T crankset and an 11-34T cassette, offers 16 speeds and a very low gear for steep climbs. Tektro HDC M275 hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm front and 160mm rear rotors deliver strong, reliable stopping in all weather. Maxxis Ikon 29 x 2.2" tyres on wide 21mm double-wall Giant GX03V rims provide fast-rolling grip, and thru-axle hubs add stiffness. A Giant Connect Trail handlebar, ErgoContact Trail saddle and Sole-O grips keep you comfortable. Available in sizes S to L in Beeswax, Frost Silver and Panther, the Talon 29 3 is a great all-round starter mountain bike.
