The SILEX turns any ride into an adventure, whether you’re on a multi-day gravel bikepacking mission or just taking the fun route to work. The latest version builds on the test-winning pedigree of the original SILEX but adds even more off-road capability, thanks to a slacker head angle and boosted tyre clearance of up to 700×45 mm or even 42 mm with fenders. We’ve combined that confident mountain bike-inspired handling with all-surface versatility so that it is utterly stable when loaded up with luggage but still fast and fun when you put the hammer down. With carbon and aluminium frame options, there’s a SILEX to suit every budget, but all of them share the multiple mounting points, fender racks and other features that lend themselves so well to this drop-bar do-everything machine. We’ve added our sleek WIRE PORT cable routing for improved looks – and fewer cables to catch on with a handlebar bag – and the carbon fibre fork used on all models now has more cargo mounts plus internal routing for a dynamo hub. With the ability to use 1x or 2x drivetrains, you can pick your gearing to suit the task at hand or your own personal preference, opening up a world of opportunity for you and your SILEX.

There’s a certain beauty in just riding without watching the time, heading wherever you feel the urge. For those rides, the test and award-winning SILEX makes total sense; our most comfortable and versatile road bike ever. With its modern MTB inspired geometry, long top and head tubes and short stem, it offers nimble, confidence-inspiring handling. While often seen on extended gravel and rough road outings, as well as bikepacking trips, the SILEX also found a strong following in comfort-orientated road riding connoisseurs as well as commuters and city traffic weavers. The more rugged 650b wheeled alternative to the 700c SILEX has managed to obtain multiple test wins as well as comfort awards, and is coming back in the form of the fully loaded and wirelessly shifted SILEX+ LIMITED. The ‘classic’ 700c SILEX also impressed the press with the 400 securing a test win in Cycling Plus, being certified as having a ‘huge fun factor’, ‘superb riding position’ and ‘brilliant off-road handling’.
